joy
i remember you
we met in the summer moonlight
outside a cafe in 10th arrondissement
we met on a river in Wisconsin
singing and drinking and rafting
we met on the dance floor
and on the lake at sunrise,
in swamps and forests,
on roller coasters,
trampolines
snow forts
i cannot remember
how many times we lost touch
picked up where we left off
i take you for granted
i fear your desertion
i throw my arms around your
disappearing form
if i could forget you
might be gone forever
we will meet again
under the same moon
